The European Commission is planning changes to the Directive on Driving Licences

By 2022, the European Commission plans to amend the Directive on Driving Licences. Currently, it is difficult to predict what the final version will look like. However, some suggestions are already leaking out, for example:

lowering the minimum age for passing classes C, CE for accompanying drivers under the age of 17 to make work more attractive for young people and school graduates

agreeing on the rules for obtaining a driver’s license with schools that train professional drivers, students should have the opportunity to practice

harmonization of requirements for health criteria and visual tests throughout Europe

introduction of rules focused on new types of vehicle engines, as well as vehicles with automatic control systems
